作品概要：『新長田のダンス事情』のプロジェクト・コンセプトは「新長田で踊る人に会いにいく」,2009年4月に始動した継続プロジェクトです。稽古場訪問やインタビューを基盤に,数々のイベントを盛り込みながら,リサーチと実践を往復します。2013年に5年目を迎え,3名の演出家,振付家,現代美術作家らが「新長田で踊る人々」と出会いながら,新たな舞台作品をつくる試みを始めました。今回はその中で筒井潤との試みを中心に,「新長田のダンス事情」における試行の軌跡,「踊り」や「ダンス」にまつわる様々な事情を現前させる試みです。

The concept of the project “About Dances in Shin-Nagata” is to “meet people who dance in Shin-Nagata.” It is a long-term project that was launched in April 2009. Based on studio visits and interviews and involving a number of events, it goes back and forth between research and practice. 2013 was the fifth year of the project, in which a director, choreographer and fine artist started to create new performances through meetings with “dancing people in Shin-Nagata.” Among these activities, this program features the attempt with Jun Tsutsui to present the process of “About Dances in Shin-Nagata” and various affairs related to “dance.”
